Russia has tabled the idea of mediating between Iran and Saudis.
Some tectonic shifts ! Saudis are key in keeping USD as reserve currency as the trade of most widely used commodity OIL is traded in USDs and Saudis becoming part of group who want to create new reserve currency!
We know what happens to people who challenge the reserve status of USD. Saddam Hussein wanted to trade oil in Euro and Qaddafi wanted to trade oil in new African dinar currency.
If I were advising MBS I would tell him to be very vary of his surrounding and his personal guards!
