Kohestani people need a Mao!

We have to be very careful with our judgments.  The honour killings should never be associated with proud Pushtun people who, for one never accepted uninvited guests in their homelands and fought and continue to fight for their freedom no matter what the cost.  It is the same Pushtun people who didn't hand over an Arab blamed for 911 attacks only because he was their guest and demanded proofs from a hegemonic empire and took on all the bombs short of nukes vs their kalashnikovs and here we are today, they persist and having the last laugh...revenge is best served cold!

If you noticed I didn't say Taliban I said Pushtoons.  I use the word Taliban with some hesitation as it is mixed with Pushtoon struggle to malign its name. However Pushtoon (Taliban) who came to power after defeating all the mega corrupt warlords in Afghanistan after Soviets left should have been more careful in understanding how to rule a country after achieving military victory.

I know pushtoons very well as I lived with some pushtoons from area very close to Kohestan Pakistan.  They used to tell stories about their strict environment and Jirgas.  That all sounded cool but what I differ with them is hypocrisy.

A good example of this hypocrisy became viral in mainstream media and in international media when a video came out where some girls were singing and clapping and their brother was dancing.  As a result, possibly because of the reason that pushtoon women were exposed, all the people in the video have been killed or slaughtered.

To this terrorism and savagery intentionally given the name of following centuries old traditions however used to assert control over poor people, comes only one solution to my mind and it is this:  When Mao during his long march would enter a village and find out how the village chief was mistreating the people, he would give the gun to the most vulnerable of all and and weakest of all person in the village and tell him to blow the chiefs head off.  In my mind Kohestani people need a Mao.

In the end lets just enjoy this song
